Synthesis Report on New Regional Evidence of Scaling Up National Responses to Children Affected by AIDS

In 2011, with support from UNICEF, the Bantwana Initiative conducted in‐country research in Mozambique, Swaziland, and Uganda, and desk research across eight countries with high HIV prevalence in southern and eastern Africa to document the evolution of National Plans of Action (NPAs) for Children Affected by HIV and AIDS (CABA). The study, which is being widely disseminated across the region, documents promising practices for systems strengthening and lessons learned for scaling up OVC services. It includes targeted recommendations for strengthening NPAs and coordinating mechanisms for strengthened OVC service delivery. Download a copy of this report »
