Mbonisi TshumaTeam Lead Malawi
Mbonisi Tshuma has over 10 years’ experience delivering programs to enhance the well-being of youth, vulnerable children and marginalized families in Zimbabwe, and building capacity of the community organizations that serve them. Before assuming the Team Lead/Country Director role in Malawi, he served as an Economic Strengthening Specialist for Bantwana in Zimbabwe, supporting the development and roll out of interventions that build economic resilience among vulnerable households and young people. In this role, he has spearheaded economic transition of over 4,000 households through savings groups and school-based generating projects and has been instrumental in developing and adapting youth livelihoods interventions for key populations, including adolescent girls and young women.
Mbonisi holds a Degree in Health Education and Promotion from the University of Zimbabwe and is currently studying towards a Masters in Business Administration with Marymount California University.
