ICYD – Case Management Coordinator – Uganda

The Case Management Coordinator will support the technical implementation of the USAID ICYD Activity multisectoral case management approach with National Partners and local government across their zone of operation. This task is a pillar of ICYD’s broader capacity development strategy and roll out of Uganda’s National Child Policy, which includes institutionalization of Uganda’s national case management system. The multisectoral case management approach is anchored within a clinic community referral system that operates across clinics, schools and communities. The Zonal CM Coordinator will closely coordinate with national leadership and zonal operational, technical (Social Protection) and M&E teams to ensure planning and delivery of coordinated TA to national partners and local government teams on the multisectoral HIV and GBV sensitive case management approach across all districts and sub counties to adopt and utilize national case management SOPS, processes, and tools, and establish effective referral pathways across clinics, communities and schools. The Zonal CM will build on and strengthen existing structures and established best practices to strengthen multisectoral case management approaches.

ICYD – Director of Finance – Uganda

The Bantwana Initiative of World Education (WEI/Bantwana) seeks a seasoned, senior candidate for the role of Director of Finance based in Uganda under the USAID ICYD Activity. The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing multimillion dollar programs with multiple partners under PEPFAR programming. WEI/Bantwana is managing a sub contract under the ICYD Activity Prime award led by the Education Development Center (EDC). Under this fast-paced PEPFAR/USAID-funded program, the majority of funding and service delivery is channeled through local partners. The Finance Director is responsible for ensuring that the project functions efficiently and effectively in all financial, administrative, and operational matters. This includes empowering and supporting the Finance and Contracts team and the programs team to regularly track and identify local partner spending priorities using sound financial principles. The Director of Finance will support institutional strengthening initiatives for national partners across administration and finance with the aim of preparing them to pass NUPAS and become direct USG funding recipients.

ICYD – Finance Officer – Uganda

The Finance Officer will support the Senior Finance & Operations Manager in the daily finance function activities of cash management, budgeting, enforcing financial rules and procedures, processing accounting transactions, providing updates on project expenditures, and participating in the preparation of periodic financial reports. S/he will maintain finance files as required by the prime and/or donor, responsible for the expenditure-tracking database, conducts monitoring meetings, provides training, oversight and support for the preparation of reports and documentation required, conducts spot checks to ensure that project expenses are being tracked correctly; develops materials to facilitate compliance; reviews fiscal and performance activities to ensure compliance with statutory and contract requirements.

ICYD – Social Protection & Livelihoods Coordinators – Uganda

Social Protection & Livelihood services under ICYD are made up of a strategic mix of economic strengthening, parenting (Sinovuyo model), early childhood development and HIV/GBV prevention services (Journeys Plus). Economic strengthening will anchor the social protection package which will be layered with case management and a strategic mix of parenting, Journeys prevention, and early childhood development informed by care plans for ICYD enrolled families. The Zonal Social Protection Coordinator will coordinate delivery of TA to National Partners to deliver integrated social protection services to families enrolled in OVC comprehensive case management as well delivery of standalone Prevention services at community level. The ES/Social Protection Coordinator The Zonal ES/SP Coordinator will take direction from the National Team and work in close collaboration with the Zonal Institutional Development, Case Management, Operations, M&E and Education teams to ensure a coordinated TA service delivery and systems strengthening approach, supporting NPs to strengthen and expand partnerships with other district and community, FBO and private sector stakeholders to expand access to ES/SP services.

The Zonal M&E Coordinator will hold dual responsibility for ensuring timely collection, entry, processing, documentation and dissemination of all data and information relevant to Project and PMP reporting and coordinating and delivering targeted M&E TA to National Partners and Local Government counterparts. S/he will follow up and ensure timely collection of data, check for completeness and reliability of data before entry into the database, ensure timely data entry into the database, check for completeness of entered data against the physical data on forms/tools and perform elementary data analysis to inform service delivery. S/he will be an integral part of the Zonal ICYD team and support coordination and delivery of M&E TA to M&E National Partner and LG staff across districts of operation as part of capacity development and systems strengthening initiatives.

ICYD – Zonal OVC Manager – Uganda

The Zonal OVC Manager will work closely with the HIV Advisor and zonal teams to coordinate and operationalize capacity development action plans for National Partners and OVC service delivery targets to meet the dual program objectives. S/he will oversee implementation of technical capacity development for National Partners while also supporting district systems strengthening efforts under ICYD. These will include operationalizing GOU priorities for roll out of the National Child Policy as part of the GOUs vision for a multi sectoral approach to data driven planning, financing, coordinating, delivering and monitoring OVC service delivery. S/he will ensure capacity development benchmarks are achieved and bottlenecks/challenges to achieving OVC service delivery targets are resolved across her/his zone. S/he will oversee coordination and support for institutionalization of the coordination case management system, a key pillar of the NCP. Within the framework and dual objectives of local partner technical capacity development and systems strengthening, s/he will draw on and coordinate with the OVC and education technical, program, and M&E teams and local partner capacity development focal leads to ensure full integration and coordination of TA support at district level, working closely with the Senior Zone Director.

ICYD Procurement Manager – Uganda

The Bantwana Initiative of World Education (WEI/Bantwana) seeks a qualified candidate for the role of Procurement Manager based in Uganda for its USAID ICYD Activity. The Procurement Manager is responsible for ensuring that the project complies with all regulatory requirements (including but not limited to USAID Rules & Regulations, Federal Acquisition Regulation [FAR] and USAID Acquisition Regulation [AIDAR]) as well as World Education/Bantwana policies in each matter of procurement as well as serve as a resource on procurement-related acquisitions and activities. S/he will ensure that the project consistently and correctly implements sound procurement processes from preparing solicitation documentation and evaluating proposals, to selecting suppliers and creating contractual documents. S/he will collaborate with the members of the Senior Management Team and work closely with Finance Director, Senior Finance Manager, the finance team and partners to implement approaches and procedures and address issues.
