Lilian Badi
Representative TanzaniaLilian Badi was the Chief of Party and Country Director of World Education, Inc.’s Bantwana Initiative in Tanzania. In her nearly 10 years with World Education, Lilian has headed up Pamoja Tuwalee, a capacity-development initiative promoting community care for highly vulnerable children; spearheaded DREAMS programming for adolescent girls and young women; and led the Waache Wasome (“Let them Learn”) project. Prior to joining World Education Bantwana, Ms. Badi served as the Finance and Grants Management Director for Pact International in Tanzania. She holds a Masters of Science degree in Finance from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland. Ms. Badi also has extensive experience working in partnership with faith-based organizations serving vulnerable children and families.
Prior to joining our team, Lilian served as the Finance and Grants Management Director for Pact International, where she oversaw finance and grants management teams supporting MVC programs including the Jali Watoto Initiative and Strengthening Transparency, Accountability, and Responsibility (STAR), and successfully managed partnerships with Family Health International (FHI), CAMFED, International Centre for Research and Women (ICRW), and the Futures Group.
